Alfonso was born in Dallas, Texas on September 16th, 1946, to Pedro and Guadalupe Maldonado. He graduated from Crozier Tech High School. Alfonso was married to Irene on May 27th, 1967; they were married 49 years
He enjoyed spending time with this family and watching all sorts of sports. He loved attending mass at St. Anns Catholic Church.
Alfonso is preceded in death by his wife Irene Maldonado, parents Pedro and Guadalupe Maldonado, and brother Robert Maldonado.
Alfonso is survived by his children Vincent Maldonado (Vangi Maldonado), Gabriella Cavazos (Jean Cavazos), grandchildren Chandler Klaes, Maya Maldonado, and Roxy Maldonado. Five brothers (Joaquin Maldonado, Rogelio Maldonado, Israel Maldonado, Luis Maldonado, and Pablo Maldonado, four sisters (Melinda Marceleno, Leonor Stafford, Estella Chovanec, and Lydia Esquivel, and many nieces and nephews.
