Alan Campbell Powers went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 27, 2010. Alan is survived by his two sons, Harrison Beckwith Powers and Campbell Sanborn Powers, his mother Frances Sanborn Powers of Dallas, sister Muriel Powers Washburn, of Burke, VA and brother Doug Powers of Coppell. Alan graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1970 and Austin College in 1974 with a degree in political science. Alan was a devoted father and received great satisfaction from watching his sons Harrison and Campbell play on the state champion Highland Park High School lacrosse team. Alan started his career in commercial real estate as property manager with North Dallas Bank and Trust. He later served in real estate positions with Trammel Crow and currently as VP Director of Operations, with CB Richard Ellis. Alan used a quick wit, patience and professional approach in his business dealings. Alan enjoyed fatherhood and taught his sons about faith, love, joy, and kindness. Alan supported his son’s athletic careers through years of s ports and he was instrumental in helping the boys achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, accompanying them for years on Boy Scout campouts. Alan gave freely of his time to others, most recently serving as evening and weekend caregiver to his mother, Frances. He gave much of his time as chalice bearer and teacher at The Church of The Incarnation where he was a life long member. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 3:30 p.m. at The Church of the Incarnation, 3966 McKinney Ave. Dallas, Tx. 75204
