Adan Cantu Cantu, a beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather passed from this life on December 13, 2017. He was born to Juan Cantu and Beatrice Cantu Cantu of Lasara, Texas on May 18, 1927 and lived most of his life in the Rio Grande Valley, only recently residing in Dallas.
Adan was the first in his immediate family to graduate college and was a respected educator in the Edinburg Independent School District for 30 years, mostly at Lincoln School, in Edinburg, Texas. He had a strong faith and was very active in his church and community during his life.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eloise Gutierrez Cantu, daughter, Vina Cantu Piazza (Charles), son, David Adan Cantu (Stacy), three grandchildren, Gordon Piazza (Rachele), Kevin Piazza and Frank George. One great-grandchild, Gabriel James Piazza. He is also survived by his brother, Juan Cantu of Lasara, Texas and a sister, Eulalia Cantu Salazar of Mission, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, December 29 at Saint Monica Catholic Church Dallas, Texas followed by inurnment at 3pm at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
