Ada was raised in Forreston, Texas and attended Avalon High School.
She married Mickey Martinez and the couple had two children. She was an associate at Neiman Marcus where she worked for more than twenty years.
In her spare time she enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football games. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend to many.
Ada is preceded in death by her parents, Roque and Sofia Escamilla; her husband, Mickey and her beloved siblings, Gloria Reyes, Jake Escamilla, Elyner Hernandez, Dollie Reyes and Alice Rangel.
Ada is survived by her son, Marcus Martinez and daughter, Alice Martinez along with her grandchildren, Angelica (Jacob) Bowden, Christina (Francisco) Rios and April Martinez. She loved her great-grandchildren, Naomi, Gracie, Alice, Nidia, Micki & Josiah as well as, her great-great-granddaughter, Eliana. Ada is also survived by her sister, Joann (David Sr.) Gonzalez and numerous relatives and friends.
A visitation for Ada will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Monday, March 21, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. An interment will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
