Raymond was born on March 16,1946 in Gaston County to the late Raymond Henry Vernon Sr. and the late Sarah Elizabeth Williams. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparent whom he loved very much, Woods Vernon and Effie Bolick Vernon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eva Vernon and half-sister, Juanita Goins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM at Carothers Funeral Home of Dallas at 212 W Trade St, Dallas, NC 28034. A funeral service will follow in the Funeral Home’s Chapel at 2:00 PM. The burial will follow immediately after all services at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Cemetery at 210 Long Creek Church Rd off E Main St. Dallas, North Carolina, USA
