Harold Lewis White Sr.

Harold L. White, Sr. was taken to be with his Lord and his beloved wife, Iris. As known to all who loved and knew him: a respected man, a true friend and brother, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Hard worker, builder of homes, farmer, outdoorsman, golf enthusiast and NASCAR spectator. He proudly served his country. A man of timeless stories and quick wit.

Mr. White was the son of the late Hiriam Larkin White and Eugenia Willis White. He was preceded in death by his wife Iris Clemmer White; five sisters: Mary Henderson, Polly Lowery, Helen Stewart, Betty White and Anne Myers; five brothers: Willis White, James White, Frank White, Samuel White and H.L. White, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memories are his three sons and daughters in law: Hal and Brenda White, David and Patti White, Jeff and Melinda White, all of Dallas, North Carolina; daughter and son in law: Susan and Lee Young of Charlotte, North Carolina; eight grandchildren and spouses; Tripp and Leigh White, Luke and Tyler White, Michaela White, Kasie White, Jacob White, Katie White, Catherine Young and Thomas Young; one great granddaughter: Harper Lynn White

A Celebration of Life and memorial service for Mr. White will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 725 Gastonia Technology Parkway, Dallas, North Carolina 28034 with Pastor George Rhyne delivering words of comfort to the family and friends.

Harold’s family will receive friends from 1:00 PM ~ 2:45 PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be given in Harold’s honor to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 725 Gastonia Technology Parkway, Dallas, North Carolina 28034.
