Dallas – Elisabeth “Lib” Collins Holland of Dallas, N.C. passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Carolina’s Medical Center of Lincolnton.
She was born on January 22, 1933 in Statesville, N.C. to Mary Crawford and Hoyle Collins.
Elisabeth graduated from Statesville Senior High School and attended Mitchell College.
She retired after 29 years from the Social Security Office and enjoyed being a member of “In his image” Sunday school class at Dallas Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her husband of 29 years, Lewis Holland of Dallas; her daughter, Pat (Jim) Vining of Rock Hill, S.C.; her son, Norman (DeAnn) James of Wendell, N.C.; step-son, Randy (Julie) Holland of Gastonia; grandchildren, Ben (Selen) Vining of Tampa, Fl.; William Vining of Berkeley, Ca.; Seth (Sarah) Vining of Charleston, S.C.; Camden Drash and Gavin Smith, both of Raleigh, N.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hoyle Nathan “Jack” Collins.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at Dallas Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Abrams and Rev. Barron Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Interment will be 3 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, N.C.
