Dan Rhodes Clemmer Sr.

Dan Rhodes “Boonie” Clemmer, Sr., passed away on May 20, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born and raised in Gaston County and was the son of the late Wayne Deaton Clemmer and Nellie Bryte Clemmer.

He was a faithful member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and a veteran of the Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Jane Reel Clemmer; brothers, Doyle Deaton Clemmer, Calvin Clemmer and Joe Bailey Clemmer; sister, Iris Clemmer White.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Dan Rhodes Clemmer, Jr. and wife, Donna of Dallas, NC; daughter, Sheila Clemmer Robinette of Clover, SC; brother, Albert Clemmer of Silver Springs, MD; sister, Wayne Ann Penley of Dallas, NC; grandchildren, Christian Clemmer and wife Kara of Dallas, NC, Dakota Gann of Clover, SC; great-grandchildren, Jack Clemmer, Riley Clemmer and Henry Clemmer.

Services for Mr. Clemmer will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 24th at Our Saviour Lutheran Church with Pastor Jason Sigmon officiating. Interment will follow the service in Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
