Angel Dawn (Cook) Ray

She was born in Gastonia NC on February 8, 1994. She was married to Austin James Ray on April 30, 2018.

Angel was a stay-at-home Mother for her two sons. She attended Venture Church in Dallas, NC. Angel especially loved the beach, where her and Austin lived for a brief period. She enjoyed being in the water and participating in activities and events around the coast. Angel was passionate about animals, especially her dogs. She volunteered at animal shelters and animal rescues. She enjoyed being outside, planting and taking care of various plants and flowers. She loved hiking in the woods. Angel was a great friend and was loyal to her friends. Angel also loved meeting and getting to know new people. Her family was very important to her, and she was a devoted wife and mother. Her greatest joy was her children, Avery and Asher. She loved spending time playing with them and attending all of their activities and sporting events. She loved both her husband and sons unconditionally and looked forward to building a future along with her family. Angel trusted Jesus and her faith was very important to her. Because of her faith in Christ, her family and friends grieve with hope. That hope assures us that because of Jesus, we will see her again one day.

She is survived by her husband Austin James Ray, sons Avery James Ray (6) and Asher Jacob Ray( 5), Mother Melisha Cook and Father Roger Cook, In-Laws Jimi and Angie Ray, Brother-in-law Andrew Ray (Blaire), Step-Mother Tammy Sawyer, Siblings Ethan, Jake and Kendall Cook, Grandparents Linda and Junior Graham, Aunt Rhonda Barker and Uncles Chris and Danny Cook.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm and a Celebration of Life ceremony at 3 :00 pm, on Sunday January 26, 2025, in the worship center at Venture Church in Dallas, NC.
