Robert Pelletier

Born in Eel River Crossing on January 13, 1937, Son of the late Omer Pelletier and the late Nora Diotte.

Robert was in the Armed Forces from 1953 to 1988. After his retirement he was involved with the Air Cadets in Dalhousie for many years.

He is survived by his wife Julia, his sons Carl Pelletier (Jackie) of Bracebridge, ON, and Denis Pelletier (Diane) of Dartmouth, NS; daughters Christine Pelletier (Sylvain) of London, ON, and Sharon Edwards (Ron) also of London, ON; his step-children Reg Gallant (Pat) of Saint John, NB, Diane Fontaine of Bowmanville, ON, Claude Gallant of Oromocto, NB and Anne-Marie Richard (Gilbert) of Fredericton, NB. Also surviving are his brother Jean-Guy Pelletier (Blanche) of Dalhousie; his sisters Jeannette Butland (Robert) of Dalhousie and Claudette Leclair (Robert) of Dalhousie; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Edgar, Yvon, Marcel and his sisters Doris and Anne.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie on Thursday, May 5, at 2pm

Visitation at the Maher’s Funeral Home, 421 Victoria St., Dalhousie, on Wednesday May 4, from 7pm to 9pm.

For those who wish, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
