Lillian Elise Rogers

It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the passing of beloved wife and mother, Lillian Elise Rogers, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Wednesday September 2nd, 2015 at the age of 86.

Lillian, the daughter of the late Andrew & Effie Anderson of Campbellton, NB, will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 65 years, Edgar Rogers. Being deeply loved by her husband and family Lill will be fondly remembered by her four children, Mitch (Monique) Fredericton, Doug (Aurore) Ottawa, Judy (John Noble) Prince Edward Island and Kim (Doug Prosser) Fredericton. Her nine grand children, whom "Nannie" adored: Daniel, Luc, Melissa, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Jay, Andrew, Emily & Adam as well as two beautiful great grand children: Isabelle & Shawn. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Savoie of Campbellton, and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was a devoted wife and a loving mother who cherished her family. In her free time, Lillian liked reading, playing bridge, doing her "newspaper puzzles" and knitting for her grand children and great grand children. Lill and Edgar spent many years ballroom dancing and were known to many as the "Jive King and Queen of the dance floor". She enjoyed spending her summers touring in their motorhome with Edgar and usually a few grand kids. In the last 15 years Lill and Edgar were truly delighted to spend times at the campground in Cap Pelé with their many great friends.

The funeral mass will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie NB on Monday, September 7th at 11am. At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A reception will follow the funeral at the church. Memorial donations can be sent to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
