Donald J. Carr

February 13, 1947 to September 9, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald James Carr on September 9, 2015 at the age of 68.

Born in Point La Nim, NB on February 13, 1947 to Katherine (nee Wall) and Harold Carr, and raised by Pauline (nee Wall) and Treffle Allain. Don worked in the fuel industry for 50 years.

Don is survived by his wife of 46 years Lynda (nee Chapados) and his two daughters, Heidi Ann of Toronto, ON and Rebecca Katherine (Gray Savoie) of Ottawa, ON and his beloved grandchildren Ava and Colin. Brother of Ann Shave of Welland, ON; Patricia Skilling of Milton, ON; Bernard Carr of Alton, ON and Molly Pronkewich of Rockwood, ON. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, NB on Tuesday, September 15 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the funeral at the church. Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, 421 Victoria Street, Dalhousie, on Monday, September 14 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.

If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
