Christina Marie Martin Savoy

Joey was born in Chatham Head, NB on April 7, 1915. She moved to Dalhousie in 1934 where she met and married her now deceased husband Robert. Joey was very outgoing and loved social activities. In her younger years she was an expert at curling and became a champion bridge player winning several tournaments. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready to try something new. Her appearance was always stylish and she enjoyed being a trend setter. In her quiet moments she would knit or read.

She is survived by her daughter Joan (John) in Niagara Falls, ON and son Robert (Cecilia) in Phoenix, Arizona, along with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Joey was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son Gary (Patricia) in Brockville, ON.

Funeral mass will be held at St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie, Thursday December 14th at 11:00 AM.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Dalhousie Nursing Home for the kindness and superb care they gave Joey over the years as her health declined.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
