Rafael Oscar Romero, 82, passed away on May 29, 2015, in Los Angeles, California. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, Oscar is survived by his wife, Rosario; daughter, Yvette; son, Moses; and four grandchildren, Syanne, Sean, Sionne, and Sydney. Loved by all who knew him, Oscar was a loving father, attentive husband, caring brother, devoted grandfather, and friend to all he met.
Oscar and Rosario were married for 57 years. He worked as a prominent accountant in San Salvador for 25 years, before moving to California in 1962. Always cheerful and full of life, Oscar will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, at Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury Funeral Directors, 4220 South Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, CA 90230. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 9 at St. Anastasia Church, 7390 W. Manchester Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045 followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA 90230. Flowers should be sent (by Tuesday, June 9th) to Holy Cross cemetery.
