El Salvador, to Manuel de Jesus and Lydia (Cardenas) Bermudez. Miriam was a long time
resident of Culver City, Ca. immigrated to the United States in 1965. She was very proud to have
become a US Citizen in 1999.
She held many different jobs through out her life to support herself and her daughters. She loved
to spend time with her family. She loved a good joke and to retell it. She loved to watch her
“novelas” and she adored her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Everyone she meet loved “Mama” or Abuela as she was known to her grandchildren.
Most importantly she loved Jesus more than anything. Her favorite thing to say was “Todo lo
puedo en Christo que me fortalece” Philippans 4:13
She is survived by her daughter Edith Ali; and her sons, Aamir Hajidatoo and Aadil Hajidatoo;
her daughter, Angela Twersky and her husband Mitchell Twersky; and their children, daughter
Georgia Twersky and son, Leo Twersky. Her sisters, Irma Bermudez; Yolanda Christina Persaud;
Dasy Andrade-Garcia; and Stella Bermudez. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces.
