Libia Somilleda was born Libia Crespo in Puebla, Mexico. She immigrated a married young woman to Los Angeles, California in mid-1956. Upon arrival to the United States she dedicated her entire life to her family. She had a long career in the garment industry where her impressive skills as a seamstress were always in high demand as a talented sample maker. These specific skills carried over to her favorite pastime of making beautiful outfits for her wonderful collections of dolls.
Libia was a private and modest person and the only feather she would have ever put in her own hat was the accomplishment of becoming a Citizen of the United States. She was a river to her family and never failed to offer and provide support when and where she could. She will be dearly missed as a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a sister, aunt, and dependable friend.
