John worked for Coast Machinery Movers, South El Monte, California for 47 years, starting in sales and moving up to being President. He couldn’t see himself as a retiree, so in recent years, he moved back into sales on a somewhat part-time basis and this year he was working as a consultant - working ever so slowly toward retirement. Coast Machinery Movers was the industry leader in moving manufacturing equipment and John was an icon known throughout his field.
His lifelong passion though, was drag racing. Beginning as a teen, he was there with his cars and that love continued throughout his life. He was the proud owner of several muscle cars and racing cars. His home is filled with Hot Rod Magazines, NHRA memorabilia, and pictures and models from his life at the drags.
He also had a lifelong passion for people. He was a great salesman because he truly liked people. And the feeling was mutual.
