Jack L. Sauter, 79, was called to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his home in Los Angeles, CA due to heart complications. Jack was born on May 11, 1936 in Mandan, North Dakota to his parents Gustaf and Eva Sauter. He graduated from Mandan High School in 1955. Jack then went on to honorably serve our country for 4 years in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. Jack graduated from Dickinson State College in North Dakota earning his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education. He then completed his Master’s degree in Education at Eastern Montana State University. Jack began his career working first as a middle school teacher, but then followed a calling to work in the behavioral health field as a mental and substance abuse counselor. In 1989, Jack moved from Wyoming to Los Angeles, and in 1990 married his beloved wife Rebecca Sauter whom he was married to for 25 years. Jack continued his career in counseling until he retired in 2008. Jack spent the remainder of his life enjoying special times with his wife and children, studying the Word of God, and blessing those he came in contact with in his community. Jack was often seen walking his dogs and engaging in deep conversations with strangers, whom almost certainly became friends. Jack always seemed to know what to say to brighten someone’s day.
