Coe Arthur Bloomberg, born October 6, 1943, in Laurel, MD, was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Coe was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elaine, his first wife Kathleen, his second wife, Dianne, and his brother Steve.
Coe received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, a school that always remained close to his heart. Coe met Kathy during a work semester, and they married in 1967.
Coe began his career with Mobil Oil Corporation, which relocated Coe and Kathy around the country frequently as he advanced. At the same time, he earned a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, studying at night, and then became a corporate attorney for Mobil. Subsequently, he joined the premiere intellectual property firm Lyon & Lyon, and Coe and Kathy settled down in Pacific Palisades, where Coe resided for 45 years.
Coe was a successful litigator and partner at Lyon & Lyon for 27 years and retired from Jones Day Law Firm in 2008. Coe served as Trustee on various boards and continually worked to make the world a better place. In retirement, Coe was blessed by 13 joyous years with his wife Helga and their children, grandchildren, and extended family. He a master needle pointer and was happiest surrounded by family, traveling the world, spending time in Lake Arrowhead, and watching Georgia Tech football. He was a rarity for his breadth of interests and knowledge; he enriched all who knew him.
Coe is greatly loved and is mourned by his wife, Helga, his children and stepchildren, Christina, Veronica, Brigitte, Victor, Christopher, and Laura, and his two grandchildren, Lily and Autumn.
