Wayne Foster Baker

Wayne Foster Baker, 73, of Culpeper, VA passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017. He was a loving husband, best friend, loving daddy and granddaddy. Wayne was born in Shenandoah County, VA, September 10, 1943, to Andrew K. Baker and Virgie Ellen Lindamood Baker, served his country in the U.S. Army, retired from VDOT in Culpeper and was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.

Surviving Mr. Baker is his wife, Thelma Baker of Culpeper, VA; his children, Stephen Baker and his wife Robin, Susan Collier and her husband Michael, all of Culpeper, VA.; his grandchildren, Garnett Baker of Unionville, VA and Brittany and Tyler Wells both of Culpeper, VA; his brothers, Richard Baker and his wife Ricki of Culpeper, VA and Carson Baker and his wife Erma of Ridgeway, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith Eugene Baker.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in Reformation Lutheran Church, 601 Madison Road, Culpeper, with Pastor Brad Hales and Pastor Andre Crumett conducting the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m, with a time of fellowship to follow the services.

On Monday, July 10, 2017, the family will receive friends at St. James Lutheran Church, 2711 Crooked Run Road, Mount Jackson, VA from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will then be in Hudson Cross Roads Cemetery, 11265 Senedo Road, Mount Jackson, VA.
