Teresa Dee Martin of Culpeper, VA, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family at the age of 49. Born June 12, 1967, in Alexandria, VA, Teresa worked for 16 years in banking, retiring recently from Union Bank and Trust. She was a past member of Salem Volunteer Fire and Rescue and Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
Surviving Teresa is her husband, William Edward Martin, Jr., son, William Edward “Trey” Martin, III, Brother, C.J. Johnson and his wife Kristen, granddaughters, Hayleigh and Emily Martin, mother-in-law, Ruby Martin, sister-in-law, Patricia Martin Harlow, and her 'second mother', aunt, Marcella Clatterbuck, all of Culpeper, VA, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Preceding Teresa in death is her mother, Linda Faye Pullen and her uncle, Brewer Nile ”Buddy” Shumaker.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway. Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Culpeper Baptist Church with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with an extended time of fellowship at Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department to follow.
