Shawn Christopher Berry

Shawn Christopher Berry, 37, of Culpeper, VA passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014. His older brother, Steve, welcomed him with open arms into heaven. He was born on May 12, 1977 in Charlottesville, VA. Shawn was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and a true Redskins fan. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you laugh.

He is survived by his mother, Sherry Lynn Thornhill and her husband Jerry; his father, Robert “Bobby” Berry; his brother, Scott Andrew Berry; his grandmother, Peggy Hitt; his aunts, Sandy Via, Ann Hume and husband Donald, Kathy Moorefield and Phyllis Tyler; cousins Mathew Corbin and Patrick Timmons and nieces Lauren Berry and Courtney Berry.

He is preceded in death by his older brother, Steven Eugene Berry, maternal grandfather William Via, paternal grandparents, Hazel and A.L. Berry, aunt June Weakley and uncles David Corbin and Danny Berry.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
