I apologize for the tardy note - I wrote to his auction business to transact an estate and just found out.  Ron and his team helped me clear out a hoarding situation and spent 8 hours in tough conditions to find every possible item of value to fund assisted living care for the former occupant.  His kindness, gentle honesty, and devotion to ensuring maximum value for his client were an example of Christian duty that is often praised but much shirked. We have spoken of him often over the years since and had looked forward to renewing our acquaintance.  
I am sure he is still terribly missed and I hope it is some comfort that he touched so many lives in a positive way.

I did not know Ron personally, but I frequently purchased items through JLR auctions in the past. Ron was always so kind and caring and became a familiar face to me, though he did not know me. I’m so very sorry to hear of his passing.

Ron was one of the most wonderful and genuine people you could meet. He always had a smile on his face that lit up the room. He had a great sense of humor, especially when he conducted live auctions. He was one-of-a-kind. RIP my friend. I will never forget you. No one who knew him will forget him.

I've known Ron since  the late 70s, early 80s when he had the pet shop and book store. Ron and I weren't close friends but more like acquaintances and every time I saw him he always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone . In the Navy we had a saying BZ Bravo Zulu. It meant job well done . Rest in peace  Ron. BZ.

Ron  sold my stuff several times and I was an avid auction goer when he had the auction house. A truly honest and nice man. A tremendous loss to Culpeper. My sincere condolences. Marie Johnson. 

My wife, Sue, and I first met Ron at the Virginia Auctioneers Association in the mid 80's, he was a fast friend, then business associate, collaborator, and finally business partner. We worked together on 1000's of auctions and were early pioneers in innovations and technology. Ron was fearless, willing to push the envelope and try new things.  Together, we were among the first of many to break out of the honored tradition of fast-talking auctioneers  to form the nation's first online auction syndication.  Ron was a student and a mentor, fishing buddy, confidant, friend, and family.  Ron's laugh and smile are burned into my heart and he will forever be on my team, sitting just over my shoulder whispering guidance and encouragement.  I pray one day I am worthy to meet him in heaven.

Joy, Love, Prosperity, and  Peace were the core purposes of your life and an inspiration to everyone that the universe encouraged you to share and combine energies. I have enjoyed our experiences and I am  lucky and honored to have been part of your world. I am looking forward to continuing sharing energy as I continue on my journey here on this blue planet.  Love ya Brother!

We really came to know Ron about 10 years ago when we were cleaning out my in-law’s house. We were so impressed with his honesty and integrity. We have since used his company many times and have referred him to several people since then. We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend. I remember Ronnie as a child playing with my brother John Myers. They  were buddies in school, and our families attended Hopewell UNC at Lignum. I can still remember their shenanigans and laughter. I first met Ron when he was  in his teens and have followed him more closely over the past several years with the auction company.  With a kind word and a helping hand, he always had a smile and a minute to chat.  Though I haven’t met Cynthia, it seems as though I now know her through the constant Facebook updates on his condition.  My prayers go out for Cynthia, Ron’s mother, his brother and their entire family.   

I might Ron at peppers  and we became best friends. I love him like a brother I'm going to miss him  always. Lot of Love to the family.

I knew Ron throughout high school and for a short time thereafter before I moved to N.C.  He was very intelligent and one of the kindest people I have ever known.  Though it has been many years since we saw one another, I can still remember his laugh that made its way into most every conversation we had.  My condolences to the family.  Ron was a very good man and this world needs more like him.

We are deeply saddened for the loss of our friend Ron (Luvy) The whole Luvy started over a conversation we had at Peppers which became something from Gillian’s Island. Ever since we’ve called each other Luvy or Duvy. I met Ron through Mike and became good friends. Then we met Cynthia and wow what a great couple they were. We really enjoyed each other’s company.  Many good times hanging out. Heaven has gained an angel. Extended prayers to the family for healing. We will miss the great friend and smile we became to know.

Ron was so happy to have married Cynthia and I was content for him.  He was always kind and funny.  Last time we talked he was painting and working hard on his house.   Our last conversation I remember telling him to slow down and enjoy his life with his wife.  I asked him if he was happy  and he gave ma a huge smile and told me he had found the love of his life and full of joy.  I am sorry to have lost a friend. I’ve known Ron a long time. Once when they owned the “Pet Shop” I went in to buy bird food. He was asleep with his legs on the counter snoring. I didn’t have the heart to wake him up. I would come back later. 
I worked for Ron the last six years. I love working here at JLR. He was always smiling and compassionate to other needs. It’s my favorite job. 
Can’t wrap my around this yet. 
I pray God gives strength and comfort to Leftwich family.  He fought hard. Cynthia with him all the way. I will miss my friend. Go fly high on that mountain Ron.  Your work on earth is done. 

One of my oldest friends. He and his family are caring folks. We met at church camp around 1970. I’ll miss his smile, laughter and enthusiasm. God bless his soul.
