Robert "Bobby" Eugene Berry, 64, of Culpeper, VA, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at Trinity Mission Therapy Center. His sons Steven, who passed away in Jan. 2014 and Shawn, who passed away in Aug. 2014 welcomed him into Heaven with open arms. Bobby was a master carpenter, an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and an avid Redskin fan. He was born in Albemarle County on Jan. 3, 1950 to A.L. and Hazel Wolfrey Berry. He attended Culpeper County High School.
Bobby is survived by his son, Scott Andrew Berry; granddaughters Courtney Berry and Lauren Berry; two nephews he thought of as his own, Matthew Corbin and Patrick Timmons; his son's mother, Sherry Thornhill; sisters Phyllis Tyler of Columbus, GA., and Cathy Morefield and husband Charles of Fredericksburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his sons Steven E. and Shawn C. Berry; his father and mother, A.L. and Hazel Berry; sister June B. Weakley; brother Danny Berry; and best friend David Corbin.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Clore-English Chapel. There will be one hour of visitation with the family before the service. Bobby's burial will be private as were his wishes.
The family would like to thank the staff of Culpeper Hospital and Trinity Mission for caring for him while he was a patient. Special gratitude goes to Clore-English Funeral Home and Wayne English for remaining the family's ROCK during these difficult times.
