Mida Catherine Cannon

Mida Catherine “Kitty” Cannon, 86, of Castleton, VA passed away Friday July 28, 2017, at her residence. She was born to Edward C. Estes and Mabel Blackwell Estes April 21, 1931 in Estes, VA. Mrs. Cannon enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing, crocheting, reading and being helpful to that are in need in the community. Surviving Mrs. Cannon are her daughters, Louise C. Grigsby and her husband James A. and Margie B. Cannon, all of Castleton; her siblings, Annie L. Clater and Willie E. Cloud, both of Castleton and Marshall A. Estes of Pleasant Hill, LA. She also leaves L.J. her companion dog. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alphaeus Cannon, and her siblings, Dorothy L. Mauney, John E. Estes, Sr., and Edwin A. Estes. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 1, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.
