Mary S. Rich

Mary Rich, 72 of Rixeyville, VA formally of Nokesville, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in her home after a long courageous eleven-year battle with leukemia. Mary was born in Alexandria, VA on August 7, 1948 to the late John W. and Mary S. Sullivan. Mary is survived by her husband of 51 years, Philip Rich, three children Monica Lawrence, Nancy Qura and husband Jack Qura, John Rich and wife Leslie Russell, and 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Madison, Savannah, Sofiya, Eric and Aimee. Mary worked for the Prince William County Public School System for many years as a substitute teacher and secretary at Nokesville Elementary School before retiring in 2008. Mary will be remembered for her dedication to helping others and her love for children, she took great pride in her work. The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home located at 11190 James Monroe Highway Culpeper, VA 22701. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery (New Section) located at 501 E. Chandler St. Culpeper, VA 22701.
