Mary Kay McBride

Mary Kay McBride of Highland and Mount Airy MD, stepped into heaven on December 23, just slightly over four months from her 90th birthday.She was born to Roland H. Kilgore and Eleanor Downer on May 3, 1935, in Holderness, New Hampshire. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Marion Contrell, her brother Roland "Chappy" L. Kilgore, her husband, Donald Keith McBride (SR), and her Stepson Kuno Keifer. She is survived by her Stepson Donald Keith McBride Jr. (Cynthia), and their children Sandra (Jay), Robby, and Ryan (Elizabeth). She is also survived by Kuno's 3 sons, Thomas (Jessica) Andreas and Konstantin (Nadine), and her 13 Great Grandchildren. Mary worked for the Food and Drug Administration and then the Social Security Administration until her retirement, after which she and Don opened Print Shops in Olney, Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Chevy Chase. Mary was a proud graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She will forever be known for her love of animals, and the environment.

Mary"s family wishes to thank the caregivers who attended to her needs through her last years at Dogwood Village, as they gave her outstanding care.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the University of New Hampshire in her name.
