Laura Tharpe Harmon

Laura Tharpe Harmon, 89, of Remington, VA passed away January 5, 2014 at the Manassas Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manassas, VA. Mrs. Harmon was born in Rappahannock County, VA to Roger Tharpe and Lessie Horton Tharpe October 25, 1924. She was former owner of the A&L Grill in Remington, enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking.

Surviving Mrs. Harmon is her son William “Billy” Dodson of Remington; her grandchildren, Kevin Jacobs, Peggy Carder, Patricia Carter, Paula Dodson and Penny Dodson all of Remington, 8 great –grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Lou Emma Fincham of Charlottesville, VA. She is preceded in death by her husband Albert C. Harman and her daughter Mary Lou Jacobs.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home. Interment will be in Remington Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home.
