George Edward Groves Sr.

Mr. Groves was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals. He loved to hunt and had raised pigeons from the time he was a young boy.

Surviving Mr. Groves is his loving wife, Betty; son George Groves, Jr. and his wife Michelle; daughter Anna Smoot; 3 granddaughters, Christina Nicole Stephen, Madeline Page Smoot and Hannah Lynn Groves; 1 great-grandson, Grayson Lee Grady; his brother-in-law, Randall Stream and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia. A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service time. Interment will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Wood Cemetery, 401 North Roosevelt Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22044. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Reva Volunteer Fire Department, 18320 Birmingham Road, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
