Butch was born in Pike County Kentucky on October 11th, 1946 to his parents the late Tom Parker and Eunice Varney Parker.
Butch served in the United State Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart during his service. Butch was a retired business owner and of the Old Regular Baptist faith. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Febbie Jane Parker; one niece, Terina Lynn Parker; two nephews, Kenny Ray Slone and Jonathan Chapman. Butch is survived by his wife Janet Slone Parker with whom he’s celebrated 49 years of Marriage, one daughter, Vickie Annette (Paul) Amos, one son Tom (Kristina) Parker, two grandchildren, Hayley Nicole (Cody) Clay, and Seth Thomas (Brooke) Parker; two great grandchildren: Sonny Michael Clay and Presley Ann Parker.
Butch leaves behind two brothers; Ted (Vicki) Parker and Charles (Nancy) Parker; four sisters: Grace (Hatler) Slone, Polly West, Ruth Manning and Ann (Kenneth) Slone.
Butch leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and his fishing buddy and cousin, Clint Varney.
Butch was an active hunter, fisherman, and traveler. He loved the church and spending quality time with his family. Butch will be forever in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 5:00 PM. The family and friends, along with Butch, will enjoy church at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be Monday, August 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Blair Methodist Church Cemetery.
