Steven Lavon Burney

Mr. Steven L. Burney of Hanceville Alabama passed away on December 23, 2013 at Cullman Regional Medical Center at the age of 55. He was born on February 2, 1958 in Cullman Alabama to Clifford K. and Virginia Juanita Grimmett Burney. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Kathy Burney and Julyette Johnston.

Funeral services will be on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Reid. Mr. Burney will lie in state from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Hopewell cemetery.

Survivors are: Wife: Mickie Burney, Son: Adam Burney, Daughter: Briana Loomis, 6 Sisters: Jill (David) Rouse, Connie Roquemore, Joan Perkins, Juanita (Johnny) Reid, Barbara (Bill) Burks, Faye (James) Hunt, 5 Brothers: Kennith Rodney Burney, Phillip Greg Burney, Dwight (Debbie) Burney, Ronald (Barbara) Burney, Derrol Burney, 1 Grandson: Brayden Burney, a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home.
