Shirley Shepherd Tuck, age 88, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Shirley was born in Columbus, Georgia to Bernice Sanders and John Hoyt Shepherd. Shirley was a native of Phenix City, AL. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in education and then a Master's Degree out of West Georgia. She was a school principal for many years. Shirley was a proud American and a patriotic member of the Republican Party, but above all, Shirley loved her family.
Shirley is survived by her daughter's Sherilyn (John) Werner; and Holly (Greg) Boatright; her grandchildren Courtney (John) Ehl, and John Taylor Boatright,and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Marston Tuck; her father, John Hoyt Shepherd; her mother Bernice Sanders; and her grandchild, Charlie (Bennett) Boatright.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8817 Co. Rd. 747, Cullman, AL 35055. A celebration of life funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with interment to take place at the Welti Cumberland Church Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home will be directing.
