Ruth Heatherly

Mrs. Heatherly was a member of Ryan’s Creek Baptist Church for 70 years and Bethlehem West Baptist for 4 years. She worked very hard on poultry farms and farmed for many years. Mrs. Heatherly was also the manager of the Brushy Pond Senior Citizen Site for many years. She loved traveling and camping with her family and friends.

Most of all, Mrs. Heatherly was a Christian loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all she knew.

Ruth leaves behind her daughters, Ann (Albert) Mayo and Donna (Joe) McClusky; sons, Rowland (Judy) Heatherly and Kelvin (Robin) Heatherly; sisters, Carolyn (Blair) Davis and Laura (Al) Hitt. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Kelsey Heatherly, Brian (Whitney) Hollis, Kim (Wade) White, Michael James, Nicholas (Marilyn) Heatherly, Derek (Anna) Heatherly, Jamie (Scott) Burnett, Melissa Mayo and Johnathan McClusky; four great grandchildren: Carlee Harding, Lauran Burnett, Cooper Hollis and Malea James; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Heatherly was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Shirley Heatherly; son, Byron Heatherly; and nephew, Johnatan Davis.

Visitation for Ruth Heatherly will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Moss Service Funeral Home from 6-9pm. Funeral services will be Thursday in the chapel at 2:00pm with Dillon Calvert and Tim Aris officiating. Interment will be at Johnson Grove Cemetery.
