Roger Bruce Akridge died June 26, 2017 at the age of 70. He was born July 31, 1946 in Albertville, Alabama to L.D. Homer Freeman and LaRue Burkhart Akridge. Mr. Akridge was in the Navy for 4 years at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Naval Hospital. He later worked as a pharmacist for 36 years in Cullman North Shopping Center. He also worked at Woodland Hospital Pharmacy and Southern Medical Equipment. Mr. Akridge was a longtime member of Cullman First United Methodist.
Mr. Akridge is survived by his wife of 47 year: Wanza Akridge; daughter: Elizabeth Leigh (Matthew) Hart; sons: Steven Chad (Danielle) Akridge and Matthew Brian Akridge; sisters: Jackie Gibson and Betty Ann Delchamps; and 2 grandchildren: Cole and Ava. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017, 12:00 to 2:00 pm in the Moss Service Funeral Home chapel with funeral services at 2:00 pm with Matt Hart officiating.
