He was born June 29, 1934 in Meridian, MS to Berry C. and Lillie Mae Rigdon. Bob served as a staff sergeant in the Air Force stationed in Iceland from 1952 – 1956 and an additional 4 years in inactive service. He worked most of his life in finance. After retirement he managed Tobacco For Less and also worked for EconoMed Pharmacy until the age of 85. Bob was an active and faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Alice Jane Rigdon; and his parents, Berry C. and Lillie Mae Rigdon.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Mike) Isbell; son, Robert (Loretta) Rigdon; grandchildren, Laura Rigdon, Chase (Carmella) Rigdon, Natalie Drake, Jennifer (Wes) Harrell; great grandchildren, Ashleigh Drake, Will Drake, Faith Harrell, Emily Harrell, Callen Rigdon and Harper Jane Rigdon.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to St. John’s “Mission 150” Fund (512 2nd Ave SE, Cullman 35055) or Aveanna Hospice (407 4th Ave SW, Cullman, 35055).
