Marviline W. Locke

Mrs. Marviline Woodard Locke of Cullman Alabama passed away on July 28, 2016 at Woodland Village Health Care at the age of 76. She was born in Cullman on September 17, 1939 to T.E. and Venice Hughes Woodard. She is preceded in death by: Brothers: Toby, Coach Oliver, David Woodard and Coach Toliver Woodard, Sister: Shirly Woodard. She was a nurse anesthetist and she was the first nurse anesthetist to work for Dr. John Kirkland at UAB Hospital. She later went to Columbus Ga. to work prior to coming to Cullman. She also worked in the Shoals area and at Woodland Medical Center. She also worked in the first Surgery Center in Cullman.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July31, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Cullman City Cemetery.

Survivors are: Husband: Woody Locke, Daughters: Marly (Eric) Landis, Dena (Randal) York, Grandchildren: Alex and Lucy Landis, Yancey York, Sister-In-Law: Judy Woodard, Brother and Sister-In-Law: Edwin (Sandy) Locke, Sister and Brother-In-Law: Carlton (Mildred )Piper and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers: donations can be made to Cullman Caring For Kids or First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
