Mrs. Kathleen Fine of Hanceville, Alabama passed away August 29, 2019. She was born January 18, 1928 to Ellis and Vollie Shelton. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Elmer Fine; son, Brady Fine; and brother, Oneil Shelton
Mrs. Fine enjoyed quilting and won many blue ribbons for her quilts. She also liked bluegrass gospel music, adult coloring and going to the Dodge City Senior Center, or as she referred to it, “The Wrinkle Club”. She was known for her love for her big family and was an accomplished guitarist and piano player.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Janice Cason; sons: Bobby Fine, Kennith (Cathy) Fine and Tim (Marlene) Fine; daughter-in-law, Judy Fine; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Christine (Gene) LeCroy and Allie (Charles) Cordes; and brother, Clyde (Irene) Shelton
Visitation for Mrs. Fine will be Saturday, August 31, at Moss Service Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m. There will be a lie in state Sunday from 1 – 2 p.m. at Shelton Grove Baptist with a celebration of Mrs. Fine’s life to follow. Bro. Ray Ponder and Bro. Richard Bailey will be officiating the service and interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
