John Wayne Travis

Mr. John W. Travis of Hartselle Alabama passed away 0n August 20, 2011 at his residence at the age of 71. He was born on October 21, 1939 in Birmingham Alabama to John William and Gertrude Ann Price Travis. He was a veteran of The United States Army. He worked as a machine operator and retired from Wolverine Tubing in Decatur Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cullman Alabama with Father Kevin Bazzle officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 22, 2011 from 6:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home. A memorial interment will be at a later date at The Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Travis is survived by: Wife: Margaret Kinney Travis of Hartselle Alabama, 2 Sons: John Michael Travis of Huntsville Alabama, Christopher William (Stephanie) Travis of Huntsville Alabama, 1 Brother: Ronald (Mary Jean) Travis of Huntsville Alabama, 1 Sister: Angela Carpenter of Pueblo Colorado, 4 Grandchildren: Christopher, Patrick, James and Ryan Travis and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Annunciation of The Lord Catholic Church in Decatur Alabama of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Window Fund in Cullman Alabama.
