He was preceded in death by his parents and four of his brothers. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jasper Heatherly, daughter, Amy Burdette-Gray (David), brother, Raymond Heatherly (Imogene), eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Cullman High School and received a Bachelors of Education from Mississippi State University. He retired from the Cullman County Juvenile Court System after more than two decades of service. He was also a long-standing member of the North Alabama Substance Abuse Council. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.
The family would like to thank a special caregiver, Tiffany Garrison, and Southern Care Hospice.
The family will receive friends at Moss Funeral Home on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10:00 -11:00 am with funeral to follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Cullman City Cemetery.
We mourn the loss but rejoice that he is with his Heavenly Father in Heaven.
