James Edward Blackwood of Cullman passed away on February 9, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born in Cullman on March 28, 1936 to John David and Winnie Alldredge Blackwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers William Eldridge Blackwood, John T. Blackwood and John Buren “Hunky” Blackwood.
Funeral services are Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev.’s Doug Pitts and Tommy Blackwood officiating. He will lie in state for one hour at the church. Interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors are wife Barbara Blackwood, son Greg (Melissa) Blackwood, sister-in-law Bonnie Blackwood, Jan Higgins, grandchildren Abby, Brianna, Emma, Maria “Mia” Blackwood, a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Monday at Moss Funeral Home from 5:30 PM until 9 PM.
