Gorden Cook

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Cook; parents: Louis Thomas “Tom” and Pearl Austell Cook; sister, Ima Lee Cook; and his brothers: Dwight Franklin Cook and Gilbert Cook.

Gorden is survived by his daughters: Janet Leah Thomas (Jim) and Shelia Slatton (George); son, Bart Cook (Anne); sisters: Marriel Humphrey (Leon) and Mara Nell Bradley (John); brothers: Wallace Cook (Dean), Earl Cook (Joan) and Louis Cook (Martha); 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Moss Service Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, May 1, 2024 from 6:00 PM. until 8:00 PM. The celebration of Mr. Cook’s life will be Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Gardendale, AL. at 2:00 PM. on Thursday.
