Ms. Callan passed away at the age of 80 at her home with family and friends at her bedside. She was born in Crane Hill, Alabama on January 6, 1943, to Aubrey Glenn and Minnie Lee Stone Calvert. She lived most of her life on the home place of her grandparent's in Trimble, AL.
She worked in the poultry industry (Gold Kist) and manufacturing industry (Box Factory, Cullman Products, Rehau) until her retirement. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and traveling with her family and friends. If you wanted to know what was going on in the community she was the one to call. Her memory was sharp and she could give you the complete history of the Calvert clan.
She was a faithful member of Prospect Church of Christ for many years. She loved her church family and they were devoted to her.
Survivors are: Niece Keri Kurry, Nephews Levi (Jessica) Calvert, Seth (Magen) Calvert and Sister in law Peggy Calvert
She is preceded in death by her husband Jake Callan, her parents, her brothers, Charles, Kenneth, and Bobby.
Funeral services are Sunday November 26, 2023 at 2 PM at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bowman Chapel Cemetery.
