Earnie Allen Hudson was born in Hanceville, AL at home on September 6, 1944 (80 yrs) by Dr. George Rowe. He was known to everyone as Allen but when he joined the AL National Guard he became Earnie. His parents were Asa and Georgia Barnett Hudson deceased. Allen was the only son and the baby of five children. Allen graduated from Cullman High School in 1963. He loved baseball and played on several different teams. Allen worked at Sears Roebuck right out of high school. He worked 3M in Decatur and then Ebsco in Birmingham. He met his wife, Hannah Bryant, carpooling back and forth to Birmingham. Married February 20, 1970 and happily married 54 years 8 months. Allen then was hired at Buettner Bros. Lumber and was there 11 years. Bought an 18 wheeler and drove for several different companies for 30 years. Retiring with James R. Smith Trucking. Allen transferred from AL National Guard after 12 years to AL Army Reserves for another 12 years retiring after 24 years in military. Allen died at home on October 16 from a massive heart attack sudden and unexpected. Survivors are his wife (Hannah) along with son, Bryant Keith Hudson (Angela Graham Hudson) and daughter, Stacey Marie Hudson. Granddaughters: Olivia Grace Hudson and Victoria Faith Hudson. Also sister, Willadean Hudson Gambrell (Frank) along with several nieces and nephews. Predeceased are sisters: Melba Sue Hudson Eyerly (Ray), Bennie Jo Hudson DeYampert (Bobby), infant sister, Wanda Hudson. Allen wanted to be cremated with a small, private graveside service at the Cullman City Cemetery at a date and time to be determined. Allen was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church where him and Hannah taught four year old pre-school children 27 years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Seventh Street Baptist. Moss Service is in charge of arrangements.
