“Little Donny” could not understand why he had to share his name with my husband “Donny” ....for years, 😜... however he eventually conceded 🥰.He will always have a place in our hearts, because he was such a warm-hearted, loving person from early childhood. He also displayed a love for our Creator who has promised at Acts 24:15 a wonderful hope of welcoming our dear friends and family back to life. I long to see his contagious smile again.

Oh sweet Donnie, I remember playing with Donnie growing up as a kid at Wayne and Dean Landers house.  He was always fun of joy and laughter. What I will always remember most about Donnie is his huge SMILE and it was definitely contagious to everyone that he was around.  His love will never be forgotten.  I send my live and prayers to his family during this difficult time. ❤️❤️

It is so saddening to experience the loss of a such a wonderful man like Donny. His demeanor was so innocent and honest. There will be a void that will very difficult if at all to replace.  Donny was a very joyful person to be around. I cant wait to see him again (John5:28,29). However in the meantime I will truly miss Donny. My thoughts will be of the wonderful times we had cutting up with one another.  Donny was someone very special in my life. He Taught me a lot about how to treat people.  I want to take this opportunity to thank Sidney and Leanne for doing their very best to make sure that Donny was comfortable during these past few year’s of his life and in his last days.  With full confidence I can say Jehovah will remember Donny Gibson for good. (Nehemiah 13:31)

I had the pleasure of meeting Donnie when  LeeAnn would bring him to see his mother at work.  He always brought a smile (and many giggles) to everyone’s face because he was so sweet and the biggest flirt.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  

Correction:  I can't wait to see him and welcome him back in the resurrection which is promised to us at John 5:28, 29. Love you Donny from Kawanna :)

As the world loses it's love, kindness, joy, and optimism, all you needed was to spend just a few minutes with Donald Gibson.  We would call each other every week, sometimes every day.  And all those qualities would always come through when you heard his sweet voice. He loved to work.  He loved his family.  He was so soft and loving when talking about his mother.  And his desire to know about every little detail of his father was paramount in his thinking.  His memories of Wayne and Dean were so very lovely.  The last time we spoke, we talked for over half an hour about his father.  I reassured him that he would see his father again in the resurrection.  He gave me a great hug, and thanked me for the memories of his dad.  When he would be in pain or be hurting in someway, we would pray together.  And he would always say "Thank you, I feel so much better."  Donnie was not only a beautiful man, but a spiritual man.  He knew Jehovah and Jehovah knows him.  For Donnie's god is Jehovah, the god of the living.  And we are assured that he is alive and well in the memory of Jehovah God.  Waiting for a magnificent resurrection, in where Donnie called Paradise.  May all of us who knew him, celebrate his love, his kindness, his joy, his enthusiasm and his beautiful beautiful smile.

Dear Family:

Little Donny, as I knew him, was the sweetest and most compassionate gentleman. He was funny and loved to make us laugh. He had jokes. But what I remember most is his hope and belief in the resurrection mentioned at John 5:28 & 29 and the wonderful future earthly conditions we’ve prayed for at  Matthew 6:10 that God’s Kingdom will bring. Theses two promises were real to him. I look forward to seeing Little Donny when these promises are realized. My condolences to you all.

I haven’t seen Donnie in awhile, but I will never forget him. I remember the first time I met him when he came to visit his family in Decatur (Wayne, Dean, Mickie, and Angie). He was so loving and his smile was contagious. Sending my love and prayers to all his family. 

No one could say my name like little Donny and no one ever will.  He said it with a special feeling and tone in his voice and I felt it.  He always expressed his feelings for me and for others in my family and we felt like family to him.  In the last year, he would have Angie call me and that meant so much to me.  I would take his call even if I were driving.  Donny meant so much to me.  I was up at 4:30 AM  this morning thinking about him and tried to write a memory but could not find the words.  I can't wait to see him and welcome him back in the resurrection which is promised to us at John 4:28, 29.  Love you Donny from Kawanna :)

When Donny came into the room he made you feel happy because he had a smile on his face.  He was kind, polite and loving to all he met. I count it as a privilege to have met such a wonderful person. He will be truly missed. May we all imitate his loving qualities.

I feel so privileged to have known Donnie. When I first met him as a little boy he had such a contagious smile,in no time you too was smiling. When I saw him last during the 1st of June,even when you knew he wasn’t feeling so good, he still managed to get out that contagious smile. Donnie knew of God’s promise of a much better time, when those in the memorial tomb will come out(John 5:28,29)and when sickness and death will be a thing of the pass ( Rev. 21:3,4). Donnie looked forward to that time, and so do we. Then Donnie’s contagious smile can last forever!

Even though I only knew him for a brief amount of time, I still got to see how kind, loving and caring he was.  He always had the most beautiful smile, that could brighten up anyone's day.  And I will never forget how much he LOVED to go bowling!!  It was such a privilege seeing him laugh and make jokes with the other family members.  It was great knowing him when we could.  He will be missed dearly.  We await the time we will see him again in Paradise. With Ma and Pa. (Wayne and Dean) We love you Uncle Donnie!

It is so very difficult to write just a paragraph.  I have so many memories of this wonderful little boy, and as he grew, this wonderful man.  His loving, positive, always ready please attitude never changed from 3 years old to 43 years old.  He was my little brother due to the privilege that my family had when he came to live with us for a few years when he was young.  He was full of life and loved having fun.  He had a true spiritual side that will not go unnoticed by our creator.  I will miss my dear Donny until I see him again in the Paradise.  (Revelation 21:3-5) But I want to take this time to express my loving appreciation for LeeAnn and Sidney.  They took such good care of him.  Donny was very thankful for all the care and love that you both gave him.  I know because we talked about it many times.  May Jehovah bless you both for all that you have done for Donny.  I also want to express my appreciation for all of the the family and friends  who touched his life.  Hugs and kisses to you all!




Little Donnie was quite possibly the most kind and caring human being I ever had the privilege of meeting. Because of him, I know what it's like to love unconditionally. Since my birth, he's loved and cared for me no matter how long it'd been since we had seen each other. I have childhood memories of supporting Donnie at his Special Olympic competitions. The smile he had just being there and being around the people he loved made it worth every single minute. He didn't care why he was there, he cared that he was there with those he loved and with those who loved him. Recently, I've had the pleasure of virtually talking to him and he always made it a point to make everyone's day, no matter how he felt. I wish to have an understanding of love like my friend, Little Donnie. He loved like no other and we could all take a page out of his book. This isn't goodbye, it's a see you later, because I know my friend believed in the hope of being able to see his loved ones again. 

I am so saddened to hear of Donnie's passing...I didn't know him personally but through FB and all of your posting Lee Ann you could see the love you had for him and his love for you definitely showed.  Praying for your family during this time of loss of such a precious loved one.   He is sharing that beautiful smile in heaven today...you will see him again.

Everytime I saw Donnie he was always smiling and threw his arms open for a big hug. Always a big flirt and full of laughs. One of a kind with a Heart of gold. Fly high Donnie. 

The last time I seen Donnie we were at the Randolph reunion a couple of years ago he was having a ball I’ll never forget the way he laughed and the way he cut up he was a wonderful boy love you Donnie with a heart of gold
