Mr. Dale Earwood

Funeral Services for Mr. Dale Earwood, age 77 of Cullman, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Cullman Church of Christ, with Bro. Ken Forrest officiating. Interment will follow at Cullman City Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Earwood was born on May 27, 1935 in Hulaco to the late Archie Wiley and Nancy Cleland Earwood. He passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012 at his residence.

Dale was a member of Cullman Church of Christ, Cullman County Cattlemen’s Association, and the Cullman County Farmers Federation. He also served his Country in the U.S. Army and retired from AT & T. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Aileen Earwood Wood; and two brothers, Travis Earwood and Gewin Earwood

Survivors include his Wife of 50 years – Ione Ellenburg Earwood of Cullman; two 2 – Daughters – Sherry (Keith) Dunn of Birmingham and Kim (Larry) Ramsey of Montgomery; one Granddaughter – Mattie Dunn; two 2 - Grandsons – Cory Dunn and Grayson Dunn all of Birmingham; two 2 – Sisters – Betty Burden of Gum Pond and Ella Vann Earwood of Hulaco; three 3 – Brothers – Jay (Jan) Earwood of Baileyton, Ronald (Elaine) Earwood of Baileyton and Wayburn Earwood of Shreveport, LA; one Sister-in-Law – Freeda (Dewell) Jones of Cullman; two 2 – Brother-in-Laws – Bobby (Annette) Ellenburg and Buddy (Eloise) Ellenburg.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the Church on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be John Burden, Cory Dunn, Grayson Dunn, Andy Earwood, Johnny Hope and Neal Wood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Chapman, Keith Earwood, Greg Hodges, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Pittman and Phil Walker.

In lieu-of-flowers, please make donations in Dale’s name to the Cullman Church of Christ Building Fun at 4345 Alabama Highway 157, Cullman, AL 35055 or to Childhaven at 1816 Childhaven Road, N.E., Cullman, AL 35055 or to Hospice of Cullman County at Post Office Box 1108, Cullman, AL 35056.
