Alvin Gene Hinkle

Funeral services for Alvin Gene Hinkle of Good Hope will be at noon Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Moss Service Funeral Home, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Hinkle died Sunday, September 27. He was a teacher retired from the Cullman Area Vocational School.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Scott Hinkle; mother, Edith Pruett Hinkle; father, Denson Hinkle; brothers, Ozell Hinkle, Joel Hinkle, Maurice Hinkle, Odell Hinkle; sister, Anne Lovett and Avaline (Hollis) Gregory; and brother-in-law, Bob DePlachett.

Survivors include his daughter, Nina Hinkle of Cullman; sons, Ricky (Charlotte) Hinkle of Warrior, Randy (Shauna) Hinkle of Vinemont; sisters, Kathleen (Bill) Hershberger, Olene DePlachett, Nelda Hutchison; sisters-in-law, Doris Hinkle, Carolyn Hinkle, Margie Hinkle; brother, Frank (Sandra) Hinkle; grandchildren, Kari Hinkle Yeager, Karla Hinkle, Andrew (Aubrey) Lash, Wesley (Amy) Lash, Meredity (Dominic) Kendall, Ben Hinkle, Haydan Hinkle; and great-grandchildren, Hudson Yeager, Sarah Kayte Lash and Elise Lash.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
