Duane Alphonse Schlosser

Duane, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away August 30, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 74 years. He was born on February 25, 1938 to Bernard and Helen (Seufert) Schlosser in Cudworth, SK. Duane attended Leofeld School until grade 9 and then left school to work on the family farm. In 1964, he married Gloria (Dust) Schlosser and they had 4 children. Duane is survived by his wife and children: Brad (Lisa) Schlosser, Janice (Keith) Rose, Tracy (Darren) Gronvold, Holly (Corey) Bauer. Siblings; Shirley (Roger) Reaser, Roger (Georgina) Schlosser, Dale (Elaine) Schlosser, 9 grandchildren and his mother-in-law Doreen Dust. He is predeceased by his parents, brother, Melvin Schlosser, brother-in-law, Gary Dust and his father-in-law, Louis Dust. After farming for 30 years he retired to Cudworth, but continued to be active on the farm. He enjoyed his time fishing at the family cabin at Wakaw Lake, playing cards, gardening, reading and singing with the Cudworth Glee Club. A Vigil of Prayer for Duane will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

These Services will both be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Cudworth.

The Rite of Committal will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Cudworth. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in honor of Duane will be gratefully accepted by St. Michael’s Haven, Cudworth and\or The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
