Dear Gertie and family:  Mike will always be remembered as one "Great Friend" to everyone that came in the bar.  We had many pre-class reunions at the bar on Friday nights and good food!  Frank recalls when Mike asked him and others if they would like to taste some fresh trout he just caught and prepared  and he brought it out and Frank said it was just delicious.  Mike then took the plates away and with a smile on his face told them it was sucker!  He was such a great cook which he learned from his mother.  He will be truly missed as he was an icon of Cudahy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  My Mother just told me of Mr. Pinter's passing. You have my sincere sympathy. Know that the pain of your loss will be replaced by the sweetness of the many memories he has left for you all. To the Pinter Family...30 plus years ago I taught at St Francis HS, so Pinter's Inn was my first stop at least every Friday, Mike and Gertie will always leave me with great memories, those great ham sandwiches, cheese and crackers and the football pools, Mike, his dad and your family were always there for me.  Mike was a great man, it was my pleasure and honor to know him, thank you for the memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.  May your memories bring you comfort.

Dear Mrs. Pinter and family,  
I am deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Pinters' passing. I remember as a young kid going to Pinter's Inn with my folks. They are both gone for some time now. It is a great childhood memory. As I became an adult, then a middle-aged man, I would occasionally run into Mike. I would always refer to him as "Mr. Pinter" and he would always reply the same way, "It's Mike, it's Mike, Mr. Pinter was my dad." I told him it was "Mr. Pinter" out of respect and continued to call him that. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

I am so sorry for Mike's passing.  You and Mike have been wonderful friends over the years to my family and we have always had a special place in our hearts for you and Mike.  My dad was so proud of his friendship with Mike and we too were honored to call him "friend".   I'll miss the hugs at Pick 'n Save and his kind and bright smile. Dear Gert and Family,
I  enjoyed all my conversations with Mr. Pinter  and appreciated all his memories he had about my family.  We also enjoyed talking about our Hungarian history and of course the Hungarian sausage. Whenever I would see Mr. Pinter a hug and kiss were always appreciated.  I remember bringing a picture to Pinters, from Koscziesko of my Dad (Walter Roth) , of course Mr. Pinter could name most of the people on the picture.  Appreciated and feel very lucky to have had a great rappourt with  such an hard working, loving, kind, interesting business man in the city of Cudahy.  If you needed to know anything or wanted any help with anything, Mr. Pinter was there to lend a hand or a ear.
Thank You Mr. Pinter , for all you did to help the Class of 1972 and the Cudahy Civic Band.

To the Pinter Family,
Even though the Seiy generation extended only through Youlan, I still have wonderful memories of spending many childhood times at all the events at Pinter's Inn.  My Dad (Clarence Seiy) and my Mom (JoAnn Seiy who will be 90 this year) could tell some wonderful, warm stories about events such as New Year's Eve.  I still remember the dining room filled and overfilled, helping to peel endless shrimp and Mike (a lot younger then) always taking an extra moment for me (Kristine Seiy Schneider).  I brought my children to Pinter's Inn to reminesce with Mike and introduce him to yet another generation.
Take care and remember all the wonderful times as I will.

Dear Gertie,
I am so sorry. I didn't even know Mike was in the hospital.
When I saw Mike at Sonny's funeral and you too, I was so happy to get to hug you both. 
You always remembered us with that delicious Hungarian sausage every Easter and Christmas.
And back in the day, we looked forward to stopping "INN" for those great ham sandwiches and Tom and Jerry's.
I'm very proud that Mike was my Godfather.

Uncle Mike was the greatest…from the twinkle of mischief in his eyes, his big smile, and the heart-filled hugs he gave you…he was one of the kindest people I’ve known.  His gift of storytelling had a way of capturing young and old at heart and always ended with laughter shared by all.  

Fond memories will forever be in my heart.

Cudahy has lost of of it's favorite sons.  My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Dear Mrs. Pinter, Barb and Mike,

Susie, Noelle and I send our prayers and wishes for comfort to you in your time of loss. You should know that some of my fondest memories from my teenage years came from the times we all spent at your house and having my card playing abilities critiqued by Mr. Pinter. 
Pinter's Inn was such a welcoming place. It makes me crave a ham on rye (with plenty of horseradish) right now.
May the good Lord send you console and comfort.
