Winifred "Winnie" Ruffing

Winifred “Winnie" Ruffing passed away peacefully at 96 years of age on February 9, 2024. She was born July 21, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Louise and Paul Gaiser.

Winnie was the beloved wife of 54 years to her husband Ervin “Buss” Ruffing and loving mother to her four children Karen Hilliard, Diane Richard, Jeff Ruffing and John Ruffing. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment she shared with them.

She is survived by her children Karen Hilliard of Scottsdale, AZ, Diane Richard (Jerry) of Crystal Lake, IL, Jeff Ruffing of New Orleans, LA, and John Ruffing (Chris) of Thornton, CO; grandchildren Clark Hilliard, Nathan Hilliard, Mathilde Hilliard, Devin Richard, Brittany Tolmie, Amanda McCrimmon, Eric Ruffing, Jacob Ruffing and Melissa Becci (Jackie) and great-grandchildren Alex Tolmie, Cheryl Tolmie, Hailey Tolmie and Carmela Rose Becci. She is also survived by her cousin, Erich Gaiser and his daughters, Kim Fabian, Lori McNabb and Heidi Fisher of Columbus, Ohio.

Winnie touched many lives throughout her lifetime with her kind heart and gentle spirit. She was a woman of great integrity and dignity, who always treated others with respect. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
