Scott R. Johnson

He was born July 7, 1967 in Park Ridge, IL. to Gary and Alma (Gust) Johnson. He attended Algonquin schools, graduating from Jacobs High School class of 1985. Following high school, served in the US Navy from 1985-1988 stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base. He was an entrepreneur and extremely driven and hard-working. He led a very active and healthy lifestyle that included Tae Kwon Do, hiking, biking, and skiing in Colorado. He enjoyed traveling all over the US, loved animals, nature, the ocean and California. He was a devout Christian and his faith was very important to him.

He is survived by his parents Gary and Alma Johnson, sisters; Sherri Russell, Vicki Johnson, brother Brett (Trisha) Johnson, niece Rheann Russell, nephews; Bradley, Jacob and Adam, great niece Lexi Chambers, aunts; Gail (Tim) Cushing, Adoline (Spence) Hollis, maternal grandfather Otto (Anna) Gust, many cousins, dear friends; Seema Tailor, Louis Ayala and Tony E. (Christiane S.) Nicholas and family.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Richard and Florence Johnson and maternal grandmother Ida Gust.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thurs Dec 20 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service will be at 11 am on Fri Dec 21 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society for cancer research, www.cancer.org.
